Welcome to the USW Local 1-425 website. The Steelworkers represents working men and women throughout the interior region of British Columbia Canada. While primarily in the forest sector Steelworker members in our local union can be found in every sector of the economy throughout Canada including factories mining office clerical hospitals university campuses hotels warehouses bakeries banks rail transportation and communications. Overall more than 20 per cent of Steelworkers now are women and there is a growing membership among visible minority workers. Come and join us.
