| https://teresemullin.com Direct contact link Terese Mullin is a Contemporary artist living in Calgary with her partner and her two most precious creations. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design (now know as Alberta University of the Arts) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Terese has exhibited internationally as well as locally and teaches fine arts to children. Terese’s work explores ideas of body health time and movement. Many of the concepts she works with are invisible such as illness and bodily processes. Most recently she employs a meditative practice spending time making repetitive marks which document the moment as well as the movement of her body. This is in direct defiance of her ephemerally experienced disease Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) which was diagnosed as a child. RA cases pain restricted mobility systemic damage and uncertainty. Taking a positive approach Terese’s work is a celebration of the mobility she does have in the present moment. This meditative activity is an indulgence appreciation and documentation of movement in each moment in time. Through a variety of mediums and formats Terese explores these ideas.  /terese.art/ |  |
