She has been creating ceramics sculptures and paintings in Northern California for over 40 years. Her early ceramic work focused on finding beauty in form function and design while her early figurative paintings tackled dark psychological themes. After taking a break from the art world in the 1990s to become ranch manager of a forty acre horse ranch Stacia returned to painting in the early 2000s. Inspired by the unique terrain of the valley she painted bold color saturated landscapes and vivid powerful animal portraits. More recently her work has transitioned into the textural and abstract. |  |
