I use traditional jewellery techniques which are technically challenging to create works relating to ideas of stories and memories. I work with my archive of found objects materials not necessarily associated with jewellery making. Usually coupled with precious metals I create works that present a narrative whether one sourced from tales within folk culture semi-autobiographical stories or a comparable synthesis of the two. Recent work ‘Spinning straw into gold’ is based on the story of Rumpelstiltskin.
