| https://mariamccue.net Direct contact link I was born and raised in the Southern California and grew up in Hermosa Beach. I’ve thought for most of my life that I was born in the wrong area. Since the time that my parents first took me camping in Kings Canyon National Park at 11 years old I knew I was destined to live in the forest. I have just recently retired and moved to the beautiful State of Washington. I’ve drawn for most of my adult life on and off primarily people. The thought of capturing a face on paper is exhilarating to me. I took up painting (oil and acrylic) about two years ago and am trying to teach myself with some success along with classes at Otis Art Institute. I am a work in progress. My ideal life would be to wake up every day and truly appreciate and enjoy my life. I would love to create works of art that I could be proud of work with nature and watch my garden reinvent itself each year and travel to see the people that I love. I would also love to make lots of new friends and maybe even be lucky enough to fall in love again one day. I’m learning and daring myself to embrace the unexpected.
