Art has been my lifelong passion starting even before I fully understood what I was doing. Growing up watching my fathers artistic career I knew I wanted to become an artist too. I began painting for the sheer joy of capturing natures beauty and tranquility. As time went on my art evolved. Beyond just aesthetics I now seek to preserve fleeting moments documenting lifes changes. I simplify shapes and forms playing with light and shadows trying to grasp their elusive dance. For me art is a transformative alchemy. I aim to create something valuable resonating deeply with others. It has connected me to cherished people and places. Over the years teaching art has been a thrill witnessing students growth and success. Many of my students have even won awards. Marin County California has been my artistic home for over 50 years. My work is admired by collectors with some amassing dozens of my paintings. You can find me at Art Works Downtown in San Rafael CA where I have my Studio/Gallery and still teach a few classes.
